LocationFree is but a cruel mirage for those without Wi-Fi laptops and PSPs, so Sony has crafted some portable video solutions for the technophobe: these two DVD players.
The newbies both follow classic portable DVD player designs – the DVP-FX810 on the left is a ‘clamshell’ with a screen that can twist 180 degrees, while the D-VE7000S on the right is a lightweight ‘tablet’ job.
For a viewing experience, the clamshell model has the edge. It has a larger 8in screen, which is billed as being ‘superior to most other panels in its class’, although we’re still trying to pin Sony down on its resolution.
