Amtrak added a personal entertainment system on its Auto Train service.
The compact personal audio-video units, or “digEplayers,” feature a 7-inch screen and comes with headphones and are similar to a portable DVD player.
The digEplayer delivers on-demand audio and video entertainment with the quality of DVDs and CDs in a pre-programmed, ready-to-play personal unit. Amtrak said the units have an eight- to 10-hour battery life and can easily be set up on a passenger’s tray table.
November’s movie choices include “Batman Begins,” “National Treasure,” “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,” “Ice Princess,” “Herbie: Fully Loaded,” “Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy,” “The Incredibles,” “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants,” “Finding Nemo,” “Million Dollar Baby,” “Ocean’s 12” and “Matchstick Men.”
