Portable DVD Player - Polaroid Takes A Shot At The Portable GPS/DVD Player Market!

Polaroid is best known in the photography field, but it seems like the company may be taking a different turn. The company is releasing the MGX-0550, a portable GPS system with a built in DVD player. While most portable GPS systems rely on media players to entertain the consumer, this one relies on disc-based audio and movies to keep the user happy.
While the MGX-0550 doesn’t take any real risks, it comes across as a nice, solid addition to any gadget lover’s collection. Oh, and in case you’re wondering, it doesn’t have a built in camera, which is a bit surprising due to the companies past.
The main use for the MGX-0550 is GPS navigation, so it’s understandable that the company concentrated mostly on this aspect.
