The good points are:

  • perfect picture: high clarity and colors. The screen has been designed to fit movies recorded for standard 4:3 TV format
  • digital picture zoom which allows you to magnify a specific frame either by freezing on the entire screen, or by keeping it in a corner while watching the movie as usual
  • multiple angle selection
  • easily recharged battery
  • 10" screen in certain models is a plus
  • "remember" button for an exact spot in a movie, very helpful in case you wish to remove the disk and play it later.

The weak points are:

  • even when the cord is turned the right way, the power may cut off, apparently because a tiny connector in the player is plugged into a large power connector

  • some consumers have complained about involuntary resets
